Opening Keynote
We’re honored that Kevin is keynoting the opening presentation for Podstock! Kevin grew up in poverty and attended school in many cities across the United States. As he witnessed education around the country, he collected powerful experiences that still influence his conversations and work with educators. He spent 13 years teaching K-12 art in public school and for 17 summers led creative adventure camps for kids of all ages. In 1991, he received the Making IT Happen Award which is an internationally recognized awards program for educators and leaders in the field of educational technology integration in K–12 schools.

Extra bonus? He's super fun to listen to!

Every interaction we have online leaves a digital footprint. This footprint is permanent, searchable, and tied directly to our reputation. Redesign Morning
Reflect. Respond. Redesign.

The 3Rs for the next generation. This morning, we're doing something different. And change is always hard but we truly believe that without reflection and conversation, true learning doesn't happening.

We want you to walk away not just smarter but ready to change the world. That involves redesigning what we do and how we do it. This morning's Redesign session is all about getting back together for facilitated thinking, conversation, and planning.

You'll talk about all sorts of things on Friday but it might sound like this:

  • What did I learn?
  • How can I integrate that into my teaching and learning environment?
  • What do I need to stop doing?
  • How can I better support the learning of my kids?
  • Who can help me with this?
  • What are my next steps?
  • How will I know my kids are ready for the world outside of school?

We believe in the cycle of learn, build, present, reflect as core in a complete learning process. Participants will have the chance for personal reflection, product refinement and end-game growth that is missed in most conferences.

Join us. Let’s share our newly-created projects in daylight and take the Podstock experience into the next decade!
